I’m Jaronda Session, a PROUD East Oakland, Californian native, Fitness-loving, MEditation-enthusiast, and COffee, COCOa, and Tea obsessed Licensed Psychotherapist based in Southern California.
After earning my Master of Social Work degree in 2005 from CalifOrnia State University, East Bay, with an emphasis on Children, Youth, and Families (CYF), my personal and professional journey COntinued to Southern CalifOrnia in 2006. I obtained my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Work in 2013. I’m now living and PRACTICING as a PsyChOtherapist in San Diego, California, and licensed to practice in the State of Arizona. I recently completed my academic journey at Loma Linda University, earning a Doctor of Social Work degree. This accomplishment advances my career in the areas of Social Work Clinical Leadership and Practice Innovation.
When I’m not in my professional practice, you can find me in early morning devotion with PRAYER & MEditation, a FEARless TRAVELing BUTTERfly, watching HGTV, The Chi, Law & Order, and One chiCagO, listening to MY Toni Braxton, Kenny “BabyFace” Edmonds, Kirk Franklin, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Peter Cetera, Megan “Thee” Stallion, and DaBaby PLAYLIST, on the Peloton leaderboard (#DrCOCOaCUP), on an early morning SOLO MINDFUL hike at Torrey Pines State Beach dropping “good morning” GEMS with a SMILE, sipping on COffee (Carmel MacChiatO), COCOa, spiced apple cider, or tea at a local COffee shop, and POURING into MY 6 heartbeats; my 4 children & MY puppy LOVES; Mocha Amina & Tiffany Blue “thee bullies”.

Emotional Focused Therapy
Our therapeutic style is integrative, with elements of mindful, open, explicit COnversations COupled with evidence-based research of Emotional Focused Family Therapy, Emotional Focused Individual Therapy, and Emotional Focused Therapy for Couples.
We’re truly honored to walk with you on this healing journey. Using the principles of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we’ll begin by gently tending to the wounds within, mending your heart, rebuilding trust with yourself, and nurturing the parts of you that long to feel seen, safe, and emotionally connected.
EFT guides us to slow down and tune into your emotional experiences, especially those that have been pushed aside or misunderstood. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships, patterns often rooted in fear, disconnection, or unmet needs. We’ll make sense of those emotions, honor their wisdom, and help you reach for connection in new, healing ways.
As we move forward, we’ll work to create secure bonds—first with yourself, then with others—so that love, closeness, and emotional safety don’t feel out of reach. Our work invites vulnerability, strengthens your emotional voice, and helps you show up more fully and fearlessly in your relationships, ultimately, Creating Open-hearted Connections w/ One Another & self.
